People say the fastest way to learn about how something works is to try it yourself. As a marketer, when I wanted to know about social media, Internet marketing and web-traffic tracking, I set up a personal blog just to see what’s going to happen.

That was a few years ago, back in 2007.

To this date, Yammie’s Cyberlog is still going strong and continually improving. Although blogging is taking up a fair bit of my time but I’m immensely enjoying the process. Blogging helps me to think, solidify some of the weirdest ideas I have, share my interests with the world and meet many interesting people which I could never have done had I not become a blogger. It is a truly gratifying experience.

Oh and if you’re asking me what is the theme of this site – there really isn’t any! I know that in order to drive more traffic to my site it’s better to write about just one subject. But I am a greedy person, and I just have too many things that I want to talk about. So if life is a subject on its own, that’s pretty much it. Read my posts – you will be hearing a lot about what’s been happening with me over the past few years, my views as a marketer, my experience in the fitness industry, how I see the world through the eyes of an economist or even things that make me happy or sad. Or see the photos that I snapped with my Nikon D90, and in the recent year, how I am coping with the many wondrous things in China now that I am living here.

Perhaps the Chinese title seems more appropriate for the site. It’s truly a magazine – of my life! Just that you will not be able to find the food and beverage section as I am totally clueless about cooking (occasionally you’d find a salad of two, but that’s about it!).

Well, I hope you enjoy reading my blog. And if you happened to be interested to know, my favourite drinks are coffee and diet coke, and my favourite music genre is R&B…
